I'm sure someone out there is paying attention to the 2008 Presidential Race.

I only put 3 Dem's and 6 Rep's cause these are the only true contenders to win their primaries.

Important issues to me are
1) who needs the IRS, get rid of it and implement a fair tax/ flat tax system,
2) public education is failing (actually just about anything the government runs is failing) so why not increase voucher programs which will intern increase home schooling/ magnet schools/ charter schools/ etc...
3) i like LEGAL immigration, not ILLEGAL immigration, shut the border down!
4) we need a strong military, NOT a crusade,
5) the health care system and insurance industry is a joke, but we DO NOT need a government run universal health care system (refer to #2 and what happens when the government runs stuff, and look to the current government run health care system aka the VA),
6) the 2'nd Amendment RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS IS FUNDAMENTAL and I ain't giving up none of my guns,
7) the rest of the issues touching on morality (abortion, religion, marriage, etc...) is better left up to the states and not the federal government (this is the libertarian stance and I support it, limited government is necessary for the maximization of liberty!, besides thats what the CONSTITUTION proscribes)

I really like Ron Paul (Republican party but really a Libertarian) but I don't see him winning the Republican nomination and he said he would NOT run as an independent. My second choice is Mike Huckabee (R). Looks like he won the Iowa Primary, which is surprising considering he was almost a nobody 2 months ago.

I wont comment on the democratic party because I don't support any of the candidates. I'd rather see obama than clinton, but who am I to opine on that cause I wouldn't vote for either of them.

Not alot to say, other than... "concur" with previous comments. I have recently thought about: I would hope "Hell"ary Clinton would get the Demo "nod" from her party...that way she could lose in the election...and we could just be done with her national political TV time, etc.
...and then...
In some ways I feel if she does not get the "nod", and not afforded the opportunity to lose in the primary; we will still have to hear all the pontificating about the how's and why's she lost the nomination to run, and the future prospects of another run for her for President from her side of the team. Just give it to her, let her lose (she is a polarizing figure..love/hate)...and be done with her. Let her re-run for her NY Seat in D.C. and then do the book and speaking tours about "if I were President".
...and then...
Personally, I have had enough of the Clinton's and their politics, etc. I was directly affected and frustrated by them, knew intimately of what went on "inside", etc. from my level of interaction.
...and then...
I have a framed letter of congrats/thank you from President Clinton that was written to me about a situation from the military. I only truly appreciate it because of the office that issued it, not the person.
...and then...
But then again, that's just me, and a side I don't speak of to often..been there, done that..no parade...but I appreciate the support and handshakes. And remember this blog I guess, because I don't speak about politics often like this...
...and then...
..this is about DISC GOLF BABY!

NO MORE "AND THEN"!!

Ive been in the Hucks camp since the first debate. I just get this Jimmy Carter feeling about how compassionate Huck is. Jimmy too was a good man but terrible president. i b 4 huckabee.

Ron Paul is my guy. If he doesnt get the nomination, I'll probably just vote for Ted Nugent.

Ted Nugent is runnin'....hey no one told me that! My vote for Ted and the "Hunting" Party. That ought to put the challengers in a "stranglehold".

At this point all I know for certain is whoever it is won't have a (D) after their name!
1. Thompson
2. Romney
3. Guliani

That's my ranking for now. I look for Huck to begin to fade after Iowa. When the dems are pulling for you like they are Huck that is not a good sign. Paul supporters are very passionate but IMHO he doesn't stand a chance.

Ron Paul. First (R) I've ever supported. Ever! Seems quixotic though. Realistically, anyone that doesn't have a (R) by their name, other than Paul.;)
