Tee Benches

I talked to a guy at work today that helps with the clean up and construction on some new house here in town and he said we could have the scrap pieces of treated wood if we wanted it. So, I'm thinking about taking him up on that and constructing some benches to put at the tee boxes similar to what they did at the jack brooks park.

We will have to talk to the parks guy / guys to see if it is ok for us to add these but i'm sure it wont be an issue really. At Pleasure Island at least.

Sweetness......there are some definate spots that could use a bench, for the tournament backups, not to mention casual play.

Yeah, it will be really nice to have some benches.

Tommy what is the latest on the bench project? It would be great to have them before the SN tourn. If you can get the wood I am sure we can find a carpenter somewhere. :lol:

There is alot of wood that is wasted on the framing jobs, but very little of it is actually treated. If you dont used treated lumber it will likely rot within a year so if this is something that we do, it will have to come out of the fund.

We have requested to some of the clean up guys to hold back as much treated lumber waste they find but havent seen it yet.
