We have some good momentum in the disc golf community after this summer. I would hate for that to end just because the time is about to change.

This is where YOU come in! We need volunteers.

We will provide you, or mulitple people with the information needed to run weekend minis wherever you want to. Sat, Sun, whatever time, whatever course you wish. I will give you the payout scale for whatever entry you want to do. If you want to run a monthly mini, or a series I will give you everything you need to do that. I will even get the stuff updated on the web site for you, or help you by showing you how to do it. I want to make it as easy for whoever wants to help as possible.

Robert and I need a break on this until next summer when we start the new league back up in whatever form it happens to be, so that we don't get burned out on running events.

We may run a mini every now and then but we really want help from our fellow disc golfers.

Thanks
Tommy

Don't be bashful, if you want to try and get something organized, feel free to post here, or let me know via email or pm and I can get you hooked up.

If you want to even set a day / time and just get somethign working a week or two to see the interest that's good too. I think that during the winter time, it should be at a set park and have multiple people with the ability to run the event. Kind of like a show up at this time, put the money in a pool and play, or flip for doubles, or whatever you want to do.

I would just hate for our momentum from the summer to get slowed down because of the darkness. Anyone is welcome to do this, you don't have to be a well known person, or a seasoned vet. We are looking for anyone willing to help out......

I would like to thank everyone for coming out and playing in the 2004 summer leagues. I had a blast co-running them and look forward to Next summers Leagues. Seeing all the New players that have joined in has made it all worth while.

I was asked why we don't continue the leagues into the winter months. I tried to explain that most of the out of town tourneys take place on weekends and there are a number of our players that will be traveling out of town to play in them. For me personally, i can not commit to playing every weekend.

I hope everyone had a great time and maybe next summer we can set higher numbers by getting even more new / casual players involved. Our numbers are getting stronger everytime you look around. Who would have ever thought that on a night we were playing league, with close to 25 players, that there would be close to 12 other casual players on the course. For those that didn't know, In our Purple division, Everyone that plays in it get Plastic!

Good luck to everyone going out of town over the next few weeks to play representing the GT!
