I played part of the course Saturday, but got called out part way through to go eat. Went back with a buddy during my lunch break today and played a partial round again. I love the new layout, and really need to work on getting more distance out of my drives. Here's the composite

3 4 4 3 5 3 4 3 4 6 4 3 5 3 4 3 3 4 = +8

Took me about 1 hr. and 20 min. to finish Mon. evening. That's playing at a pretty good pace. I took 6 strokes off my first round shooting a +3, shooting the cycle with birdies at #2 (par 3), #10 (par 5), and #13 (par 4).

We played a half round again at lunch today, foursome this time. Nobody did better than +9 (that'd be about +14 for the whole course) We lost two discs though. An orange in the swamp next to #8 and a blue in the ditch by #15. at least one had a name on it. There are definatly more opportunities for lost discs with the new layout!

Shot a +4 on Friday and +3 on Saturday. Cool and overcast but nice playing conditions.

Matt Schion tied Keith's round of 53 today. What was more impressive about it was that we played the last 7 holes in complete darkness.

We wont even talk about the scores i have been shooting....lmao

Played 2 rounds today. +11 with birdies at 6 and 17, and +5 with a lone birdie on the par 4, 15th. Has anyone birdied this hole? I was 4 feet from the pin on my second shot!

I have seen lots of birdies on that hole. I had a drop in 3 last time i was there. None-the-less it is a nice 3 to get for sure.

thats not bad for your first time there

did you like the course?, other than the length

hopefully next year GCCS will come to the Golden Triangle of Disc Golf three times for each of our courses, I think they are all tournement calibur courses

I was really happy with my round. I got off to bad start with fours on holes one and three but settled down after that. I was actually thinking about shooting under par until the 18th hole. I threw my drive and it landed close to, but not in the water. I had an awkward runup for my second shot; I released the disc poorly, and it never climbed up to basket level. I hit the bank and rolled back into the water and was completely surrounded and OB. Take away that circle five on hole 18 and I would have shot under.

I'll definitely hit Klein Park next time I'm back!

I shot a +3 over today. Managed 2 birdies; #4 and #17 (sure, I'll use the heizer route). OBs at #2 and #9 (figure that one out). Was quite a bit of water but it was manageable.

Was quite a bit of water but it was manageable.

With waterproof socks on, it never bothers me.

Not trying to shamelessly plug any company or brand, but CSP Outdoors has SealSkinz waterproof socks. (http://www.cspoutdoors.com/sealsocandgl.html)

It seems someone has a problem with #15's basket location. I shot a best round ever at Tyrrell -1 59 with a temporary basket on #15. I can hear Kevin now. Made a 4 anyway. Unlike someone who made a 3 whose nickname is an adjective who shot a tied personal best of -3 57. Fuzzy, 2 days, 2 courses, 2 tied personal bests. So who was it that didn't pay up on their $1 bets? Wow, -4 in the last 3 times playing #4 at Tyrrell with the Ace on April 16 (+5). Fuzzy, you may be right about those lbs.

I shot -2 at Tyrrell on Tues. 6 Birdies and a double bogey and 2 bogies. Kenny shot +7. Eric and Jarred played also but no scores to report there.

Jarred and I played a round at Tyrrell today. I shot a -1 (59). Bogied 3 of the first 4 holes! Sad. I think I birdied the exact same holes as I did during the bagtag challenge. Well, except that today I birdied #18. Jarred would be mad if I were to report his score. It is near my age, however. Very very near!!! Hello people, PLAY TYRRELL!!! Don't be scared of a little extra walking and hole distance!!! Fuzzy, can we at least for now move #7s teebox (that really wet one) over to the left 10 ft.? And maybe move #2s teebox somewhere on this side of the creek? I mean that would still leave several LONG arse par 3s. Let's go scope things out.
