Jarred and I are headed out on a disc golf adventure. May as well, its our Spring Break! Leaving for Hitchcock at 7:30 a.m. to play Jack Brooks Park then off to Victoria to play there. Next, we'll drive to Ingleside and rest up for the tournament at Live Oak. It will be Jarred's first. Just not looking forward to that drive home late Saturday night! Thanks for the tournament info, Kevin. See ya there!

Tournament notes.....
A very fun, windy, mosquito(y) , bluebonnety time. Never played this course before but it was really fun. Lots of trees , stickers, and wind .Billy Nelson headed things up & did a great job. Neal & his son made the trek down, too. I played advanced & got the last cash spot at 5th with a +4/+4 = +8. Took 7 ob strokes in two rounds! The trees catch everything . Not sure what Neal finished in his division, but he cashed also...(and won the raffle for a new basket). Anyway, I'll see ya'll easter weekend.

Jarred and I had a great weekend. We were able to play with a few of the locals at Tom Bass and Riverside Park. Jarred did great in his first ever unsanctioned tournament, shooting 84 and 79 at Live Oak-Ingleside. What a course to play your first tournament on!!! I do encourage you to play the course if you're ever near Corpus or Ingleside. I placed solo 4th in Rec. shooting +11 and +10 :( I had a great time playing this course. It was challenging with the trees and the wind. Jarred and I each lost 1 disc. I think we actually got pretty lucky in that respect! Billy Nelson ran a great tournament. On the basket raffle I was thrilled when he called out 279...(pausing) and I knew we had won the basket; having all the 79's! I have won raffles in my past 3 tournaments. Hope that lucky crap keeps up. I'd like to donate a basket for a disc golf course at Wuthering Heights Park should one be placed there. Nacogdoches in 2 weeks. I'm there! Let me know if anyone wants to come along for an awesome 4 round tournament.

Yeah, I have lost many discs at Live Oak Park in Ingleside. What did you think of hole #4. Totally blind teeoff and if the wind is blowing just right. You are losing a disc. I still have scars from the thorns there too. The best round i have shot there was a +3. I will be in ingleside the last weekend in April and i plan on playing before the Drillers game vs. Corpus Christi.

Yeah Robert, #4 is a cool hole. I managed a three both rounds on it but I think I was very fortunate to do so. # 12 was probably the most brutal as I heard of many 6's and even 7's on that hole. The course is exactly 2 hours from my house, if you want to hook up for a round, let me know & I'll meet you down there. I traded my payout for a membership in their club so I need to make a trip down there & try to snatch a better bag tag number anyway. Later, KW

also, on hole #10, if you go out in the thicket to the right during the summer. Watch out for wild boar.

Kev, I plan on getting down there either friday night or saturday morning april 30. The BMT Drillers play Sunday Afternoon in Corpus so i am looking for a saturday round or 2. I have been playing there for the past couple of years. It wassnt until last year when they held their first tourney, i believe it was this one last year, that the number of players increased. Everytime i have been there since there is always people playing. That is awesome.

Ever played West Guth? I like that course 2, talk about elevation changes.
