Whenever the Ace pot gets to 50 bucks we are thinking about splitting it to start funding a second ace pot so that we will have one in reserve in case one gets hit we will have money already in another ace pot.
Maybe after the second one builds up to 25 we can start adding back into the one that is 50 bucks again and allow it to build up good.

Or, We could leave it as it is right now and build the ace pot up as large as it can get and then start from scratch once an ace is hit.

What do you think? Suggestions? Ideas? post some...

i sort of like the idea of having ppl from all over the country to play for our ace pot at $50 a head... what was that dallas pot? 2k?

The chances of our local mini getting an acepot high enough to get people from out of town over here are slim to none, especially since we do our mini on a weekday evening.

Personally i feel that an acepot that is going to be capped should not be capped til it atleast hits $250. I think if you think about the odds, with the relativley small amount of people that we have playing the minis, the chance of someone hitting the acepot and then someone else hitting an ace after that before it has had time to build again are very slim.

So basically what I am trying to say is that I don't see it necessary to cap the acepot.

It was just something I sujested to Tommy the other day. I noticed that Gimp was going to start another ace pot so in the chance that it was hit that he would have another going. Like i said, we were just running by each other.

Certainly a good idea to do something like that if the acepot is actually high enough. If everyone else would like to do it though, then you won't get any complaints from me.

Gimps mini's acepot has been growing since last year and is now over $200.

Starting at $200, we take $25 out to seed the aux pot, so if the main pot was at $350, we would have an aux pot of $50 etc. I would at least wait until it gets to $100 to start doing something like this, but that is just me.
