</td></tr> <tr><td colspan="4" class="pn-normal" align="left" valign="top"> Starting Thursday, August 4th, the Golden Triangle Disc Golf club will host its first Summer League Singles Tourney. We will play six rounds of golf using a points system based on how many people you beat in your division each week. Only your four best point totals will count (two lowest dropped). I will be running this much like the Winfreys ran the last leagues.
At the end of six rounds (six weeks) the persons with the highest point totals will win! You will get 10 points just for showing up and playing, and then 2 points for each person you beat, and only one extra point for a tie.
We will play two rounds at each course - one round per week(Klein Park, Tyrrell Park, and Pleasure Island) –in that order. There will be Advanced, Intermediate, and Recreational divisions.
The league will be $20 for all divisions. There will be a $1 Ace pot and a $1 Mulligan (proceeds go to GTDG) each week. If no ace pot is hit, there will be a Closest To the Pin shot at the end of the tourney (paying out two or three spots). Tiebreakers will be done differently. If there is a tie, it will be broke with your 5th best point score and 6th if necessary, then most birdies, etc. Going into 5th and 6th weeks will encourage everyone to play each week. If you only played four weeks and tie, and the other person you tied with played five, you lose the tie.
Payout will be deep in all divisions – no one person will take all the cash! We will begin at 5:30 -6:00 pm each Thursday, starting with Klein Park. See you there!</td></tr></tbody> </table>
