Would love to have you come out and try the game that we all love and want to share with everyone. Just let me know when you want to go and I will get you a couple of discs to start with.
Actually if you find the time you can come out and play with us in the Wednesday mini at 6:00pm. This week we are at Tyrrell Park and you and anyone else are welcome to come and watch or play. Whether you are competing or not, everyone is welcome to come and join us.

Welcome James, we look forward to showing you our sport. If no one had brought this to your attention and ( yes i forgot to say this while drue had me on camera) Our Pleasure Island course has hosted the World Championships of Professional Disc Golf in both 1994 and 1995. We are the ONLY course or city that has hosted the Pro worlds twice, EVER. It is like having the Augusta National Golf Course in your back yard. We had a couple of the Houston Pros come over 2 weeknds ago just to play and this past weekend , a player from Austin made the trip over to play. Houston hosted the Pro Worlds last year ,LOL, but they are still small time until they host #2. :P
H-Town has 17 total courses , some are 18 holes and some are just 9 holes.
Thanks for the airtime. Back in the day we had the Port Arthur News do a story BUT they put it in the Life and Leasure section. They said it is not a REAL sport. I have played alot of traditional sports and even alittle ball golf and I get more satisfaction from Disc golf as i did all others.

Come on did'nt you get a little satisfaction DUNKING on players in high school or catching those TD passes. Wait your right it is satisfing playing disk golf because we both know if we tried to do those things we did in high school somethings going to break.

Very nice!
I think KFDM did a great job of promoting disc golf and the website!
This is a huge step forward for us! See you guys tomorrow at Tyrrell.

The story is going to run at 9 on the WB news at 9, channel 10 on cable i believe, not sure which one over the air it would be. It is also supposed to run on the 10 news back on channel 6. I talked to Drue and he said they are going to fix the graphic for the web site whenever it is displayed.

We have had 6 new members register since the story which is way more than we have had in any one week. Unfortunately the web site was down all day wednesday and part of thursday which could not have come at a worse time. Hopefully people who were wanting to visit the site will give it another try and haven't forgotten about it or what the web site address was.
As far as the stats for the day on tuesday when the story aired, One thing that is logged is something called page views, this is pretty much every click someone makes on the site that pulls up another page. Our previous high was the day the site went live, we had 524 page views, on average we may have like 170 or so a day. Tuesday we had 629, so people were definately checking us out. Unfortunately on wednesday we were only able to get 30 page views before the site went down though =(

I sent the video to Dave today he should be getting it sometime wednesday.
On a side note, our site will most likely be down sometime later this week as the connection to the server is finally installed. They have the T1 hooked up in their building right now but the web server is going to stay on the old isp for a few more days. I cant wait for the new connection to get hooked up to the server though the site will be alot more responsive.
