We will be having our awards party again at Chula Vista in Mid-County behind Central Mall next Wednesday the 25th. If you weren't part of the league, you are welcome to come anyway.
The final week of the league was pretty good, overall the scores were a bit high compared to normal, but I think that had something to do with people trying a little harder to play well.
In the Gold division Keith Vest won 1st place, but 2nd was up for grabs. Matt Schion needed to beat Tommy Winfrey to win 2nd, which he did, but he failed to score enough points on the week to move up. Derrick Gil did just what he needed to do however, get the win. With his win he jumped up in the standings to take a tie for 2nd place with 80 points, then went on to win the tiebreak 197 - 200.
Green Division David Vance got another win making his 4th for the league. The battle for 2nd place was on though, Dustin Galmor needed to place 2nd or higher to get 2nd overall in the league and did just what he needed to do to take it.
Blue division was where all the action was. Robert Winfrey got things back on track and locked up the division with his win on week 6. Ed sparks finished 2nd. The big surprise was the move by Danny Wise from last place going into week 6 to a tie for 3rd with Kenny Johnson. Kenny won the tiebreak 221-227.
See yall at Chula Vista next week. Don't forget Moffit GCCS this weekend.
