I THINK IT SHOULD BE AS FAIR AS POSSIBLE.....BUT IF ME AND KEVIN HIT A FEW MO BETTER SHOTS WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE MIX ....SO ITS HARD TO SAY. .... BUT A CONSENSUS IS USALLY A GREAT WAY TO GO ..... ALL I KNOW IS IM GONNA BE THERE W/MY MONEY & BATTLE WHOEVER IS OUT THERE. ....

I think I am going to move the tee box for 12 up another 30 feet to get people a little closer to the basket on their first throw. Hopefully it will make more people run at that basket instead of having to throw an upshot and layup. I also think we need a couple of the holes to have pro and am boxes.#3, # 7, #12 and #15. I am going to wait and get some more feedback before making the changes, but I think some of our advanced players need some more challenge yet for our recs and int they need to Play the same on some and a little easier on others.

I almost want to say that #15 should move up period...it is just a hair too long even for the long arms.

obviously I am in agreemnent on #12 moving up 30 feet but personally think the pro box should be that one and an AM/Rec box even shorter then that.

Am/Rec box right up at the ditch on #3 would be cool.

That pro box spot behind #7 is a perfect spot with Am box being the current box.

I still think #9 should go back to the other side of the ditch even though i do like the current spot. I think the course lacks that controled s-turn shot that the tee across the ditch gives.(just think about it and you'll see what i mean)

thats pretty much what I think also. shorten 12 and 3 for ams and possibly 15 to in front of the tree.

so you mean shorten these holes for ALL locals, right? Because I dont know of any pro's around here...... We're all am's

Ok, for the Dustin's in the world we shall call them : short tees and long tees...or would you better understand : punk tees and lessofapunk tees :-)

Dustin, didnt int play from the long (pro) tees in waco?

you know, the one bad thing about having two different tee's on one hole, is during a tournement if REC or AM or whatever play from one tee, and everyone else plays from another, it kinda messes up the ratings

Then don't have them tee from different boxes in a tourney..duh :?:

DG sounds a little scared that if we add some long tees that he will have to throw from them. What the hell, its just a post in the ground. one round throw from the short, the next throw from the long. I aint skeered!!!!

That's right, Dustin. When Jarred and I played in Arlington this past summer, the Rec. players played many alternate tees and as a result, they got no round ratings for the tournament. Jarred would have had to play with Intermediate to get round ratings. If i'd have know that he would've! If we're looking at only a few holes with alternate teeboxes then it is doubtful in a tourney that anyone would play from the shorter tees. It doesn't seem that we're looking at a situation where like some of the Houston courses we play short tees the first round, the the longer tees the 2nd round. Macgregor comes to mind?

Bet you wouldnt mind if we put a short tee on #6 where the tee was before...lol

How many sanctioned tourneys do we have at Tyrrell? The way I see it, by putting a short (rec) tee, we can make tyrrell a little easier for rec players and beginners. I would never play from them because it would effect my ego. I know cheeseguy wouldn't eathier, his ego is bigger than mine. I was just thinking of the little people. Speaking of little people, we could put in even shorter tee boxes for midgets.lol
