Thanks to everyone who came out this weekend to play the Beaumont disc golf courses; Tyrrell and Klein parks in memory of Thomas. The weather was great and the courses were in great shape. Our local club, headed by Jeff, did a great job with getting Tyrrell's new layout ready and for providing the free pizza and drinks both days. Thank you Gimp and Scott for running the event and we hope that this will become an annual event in our area.
There were 3 local winners in their divisions:
Congratulations to Kevin Willis (former local resident) who won Advanced by 1 stroke over Roy Tritico.
Neal Martinez won his first tournament ever winning Intermediate by 4 strokes.
James Rogers won the Recreational division edging out Jeff Thompson by 1 stroke.
Jarred Martinez won the Junior Division. Although uncontested, he played well and we are all proud of him!
Roy Tritico sets the new Tyrrell park single round low score with a 1000 rated round 52 (8 under par) in the first round! Way to go!
All local tags were pooled and redistributed after the tournament. Kevin keeps his #3 tag and heads back home with it, again! Roy gets #4 and Neal gets #5.
No Ace was hit and the pot will carry over to Jack Brooks on Sept. 17. For complete results, follow the link below.
