We had 8 golfers out yet again tonight for doubles. I want to apologize to anyone who arrived after we'd already flipped. We found out tonight with only 2 groups on a card it got dark pretty quick. The group decided to go ahead and flip and so we flipped away, not with the intent to exclude anyone. We will play Tyrrell Park again next week with a teeoff time of 5:15 p.m. Darkness draweth nigh!
1st Place Danny & Fuzzy--50 (-10) ties course record (Ed & Neal)
2nd Place Kevin & Neal ----54 (-6)
T3rd Place Vance & James--55 (-5)
Dustin & Kenny--55 (-5)
David Vance wins the CTP (Hole #1) for $12
***Note***As it turns out, a playoff was not necessary for outright 2nd Place. (initially won by Dustin & Kenny over Neal & Kevin) No one on our card added up their score and It was assumed by some that our team had tied with Dustin & Kenny at -5. ( Little did anyone know that Vance and James had actually shot -5 also) We shot -6 and didn't snap to it. Well, what to say now? As I look at our play in our minis as somewhat casual, I think a penalty for everyone on our card for not adding their score up is a bit extreme. I will assume and accept a penalty for my team and say to Dustin & Kenny, "my bad" and OOPS!!! Not expecting the money back but would be a nice gesture. Please post your thoughts. Is a good lesson, that's for sure.
***Please Note***Above scores are the correct scores shot on the round EXCLUDING any penalty strokes.
