Club Meeting

We need to have a club meeting t figure out what to do with tyrrell park as well as form a tournament commitee for the PI LSS tourny. I am not sure when or where, so post suggestions that work for you and I'll weigh the options and post the date.

If you want the people that actually play PI to attend a meeting and be part of a commitee for a tourney at PI then it is not a good idea to have a meeting place in downtown Beaumont.

Well, honestly I have no suggestions, and, not being a payed member and all, wouldn't have a right to suggest things anyway ;) but I would like to clarify that the Vortex is not downtown, if that's what you were referring to Fuzzy. It's on 11th street, about a block off the highway. It's in the North End. They have tasty beer - hefeweizens, Belgian strong ales, British stouts, mmmmmmm. I just wish they had stuff on tap. With their selection, it's almost inexcusable to NOT have REAl Guinnes Draught.

Good to know. I was actually told it was in Downtown and I have been saying this same thing forever and you are the first to step up and correct me.....lol Either way 11th street is far from centrally located and double far to expect the people that actually play PI to come and attend.

Yes yes, "good point" says the prospective member. Not really a drinker myself either, but I'll usually have 1 or 2 at Vortex just cause some of them taste so good. Till I was 23 or so, I thought all beer tasted like a finely honed mixture of camel piss and nut sweat... like Budweiser. Well, I remember, while ya'll were watching me dig that hole, which, btw, has neither frame nor concrete in it yet :cry: ya'll said I think either Chula Vista, or NOT Chula Vista, or La Suprema or NOT La Suprema, some combination thereof...

Ah, now see, that is what I THOUGHT beer tasted like, and I found out quite differently. As for why I thought they tasted that way, honestly I cannot tell you. For, you see, it came to me in a dream, and I forgot it in another dream...

In Mid-County for sure, you will get more people who are going to be involved in the PI tourney which is the major issue right now. We have had our share of meetings at the Vortex.
Also, Jeff, I need membership cards for David Vance #24 and Brett Hardy #25 and I will have an updated figure of our finances for the meeting.

Mid county it is!!!!! Now I need a date and physical location in mid county. Let me know what dates ar bad in the next 2 weeks and vote on the poll for a location

hello, how is everyone? yes, the handlebar would be packed. if we are going to do it at a bar then it needs to be someplace we can talk without yelling and have space for everyone to congregate (spelling?) good luck on a saturday night! we could always get together at a park where we could put out a basket and bring our own beer for whoever wants to drink. (port neches park maybe?) the cool thing about the vortex was $1 beer and lots of room to stretch out. not that it matters now, they are closed because of Rita... anywho, doesn't matter to me where we do it, but having a basket to mess around with while we talk would be fun. just let me know where and i'll be there!

i kinda agree with huflung, maybe we should just have the meeting on saturday, when everyone is probably going to meet up for disc golf anyways

yeah, saturday night would be bad for handlebar... of course, almost all of the places on the list would be busy on a saturday night. but who says it has to be saturday, and who says it has to be at night? Nights are good for me, the only day i have off reliably is sunday. but even that might change soon depending on how many people my boss hires this week. Just let me know when and where and i'll let you know if i can make it. arright, i'm outta here... need to go put in that application for me second job. damn i hate the currency system.
