I played the TX 10 Finale in Live Oak near San Antonio on Saturday. On my 3rd hole of the day, Hole 20, I hit my first ever tourney ace which makes 9 on the Ace count. Upon stepping up to this hole, I noticed that it was fairly short. (213 ft. to be exact) Before teeing off, I said "so this is where I get everyone's $2 for the Ace Pot". Yes, typical "big cheese" comment. I called it. I threw a slight turnover shot with a new tye-dye Leopard 174 g straight and fairly low, as there was about a 20 ft. ceiling of trees surrounding the basket. It nicked some leaves and floated down into the basket, ending up vertical. The shot earned me $235! It was the only ace of the day. Too bad I didn't save that for the $30,000 hole-in-one on hole 23C.

Thanks, Jeff. I'm waiting for them to post the results on the PDGA site so I can put a link in the write up. Guillermo unfortunately had "Baggeritus" on Saturday. He told me he is officially moving up to Advanced. Bout friggin' time! If my next rating update is under 915 then I myself may be faced with the decision of milking Intermediate for all its worth!

So big G is moving up!!!!! Makes room for you the rest of this rating period. I think that between states and this tourney, you will most likely be an advanced rating. Milk it while you can!!!!

If you just count those tournaments, yes. However, it doesn't work like that. I have 8 rounds under 840 that I need to shake off and maybe 50 or so rounds that will be averaged together to get my next rating. Is slow-going on the ratings when you have some really sucky rounds averaged in! I would say conservatively that I'll jump above 900. Just doubt that I'll reach the cutoff of 915 this next ratings update. Trust me, I'm in no hurry cause those guys in Adv. are good! Putting, Putting, Putting!!!

Tx 10's are not PDGA sactioned, are they?

I have heard that in the past that some or all the TX 10s were not sanctioned but this was a sanctioned B-tier. I'm not sure if either of the 2 rounds will be rated because of the short tees, propigators, or whatever. I'm not sure how all that works.

t-10 finals are always sanctioned. there should be plenty propagators for the ratings even if they only were able to pull from the Int. division.
