Anyone seen this thing yet? The Golden Retriever disc diver? Not sure how it works, but there, clear as day in the picture there, yep, there's a disc in it...
Anyway, looks interesting. I'm sure it's not as efficient as my jumping in the ditch up to my knees and plodding around, but still...

looks like you would have to get real luck trying to snag a disc you can't see!!!!!!!! A rake works good but is hard to fit in a bag. I wouldn't buy that piece of crap. What happens in the reeds and grasses in ponds, what if your disc is lying vertical. What a scam!!!!!!!!!I like matts disc retriever, now if we could only hinge it so you can grab a disc instead of hooking it.

Meh, I think I got Matt's hook & pole beat. Just can't get any better than plodding around in the muck feeling around with your hands and feet, so long as you're fearless of snakes.... and the dreaded Candiru.
But I think one of them old people grabber type deals would be nice to have...

I'd be more worried about necotizing fasciitis than a candiru in Texas.

Nah, necrotizing fasciitis is a Strep infection. There is that water bourne bacterial infection around here that acts similarly, but it's only active in warm months, and only in saltwater.
Really, all I'm worried about around here are water mocassins and turtles.

Yes, tadpoles wriggiling between one's toes is a very... singular experience.

Yeah, but you don't know what i've coughed up & spit in that water. ;-) Vibrio Vulnificus is the satwater bacteria, I was treated for it last year.

Holy! Wow, that's bad stuff there, sorry to hear you had a run in with it, I hope it wasn't too bad. You're trying to make me into a hypochondriac now, arent you? I promise, had it not recently rained, I would NOT have gotten in the ditch. Truly, cause if it hadn't rained, the bnks would have been dry and I never would have slipped in the first place
