We need to look at raising some more funds for both tourneys as well as the club (to replace baskets at tyrrell). Fuzzys got a good idea for the pi tourney. Adopt a basket by members and those members raise $100 bucks in sponsorship money from friends family and businesses for that basket. The member would be able to name the hole, set mandos and boundries and do a little sprucing up(mulch under the basket, leveled tee box). All money raised above the 100 bucks can go to fixing up the hole and what is left will go to the club coffer. Signs will be placed at each tee pad with the sponsors name. The first person with a 100 bucks gets to pick the hole they want to sponsor, first come first serve.

Any gift certs will go to our club raffle at the tourney to go into our club funds and will be treated seperatly from the cash sponsorship for the hole.
Fuzzy, want to clean this up a little and detail anything else?

So does anyone out there have a hole ( or 2 or 3) at the Island that they have always walked up to and said " man I wish this teebox was over here" or "I wish there was a mando here" or "I wish we could make an Island hole out of this hole" or "I wish the basket was right here"???

It shouldn't be too hard to come up with $100 for that privelidge at the toureny along with a sign with your name on it and/or some smack on a sign. Doesnt matter where you get the $100. Could be from freinds, family, co-workers, boss, other businesses, running a fundraiser mini, where ever, or maybe a little from all those places.

I have a couple holes in my sights that I would like to add some things too. I better get to looking for some money so Jeff or Neal or someone doesn't buy my holes :-D

Nah you hit the nail on the head. I would call it an " Adopt a Hole" though since you have some creative control* at the tourney over the hole you adopt. Plus you can put pretty much* anything you want on the sign, your name, the businesses that donated, some freindly smack, or all of the above.

Jeff any further thought about your 2 baskets? I was thinking about an elevated hole for #12 at the Island. You know, sorta like at the USDG Championships with the bricks around it. I'm sure I can help out in some way in this area.

What two baskets? the old protos I got from keith are probably not what most would like to see out there. I may put one out so that its a memorial basket(most likely 17.) We may pull Tyrrell completely for a while. I'm still trying to make up my mind.

You da man Ransom! Thanks for getting the wheels turning on this deal!

Since Ransom did not say what hole he is going for, those of you out there wanting to do this better get a move on cause he might have his sights on YOUR hole! :-D

The time is now!!!!!!!, with christmas coming up, hit up all your family for 5-10 bucks and get your hole sponsored. First come first serve, so if you want hole 2 get it in quick. I think we should do a 75 bucks to the tourney 25 to fixing up the hole, or we can do the full 100 for the tourney and whatever else is raised goes to the fixin up the hole. what does everyone else think?
