Saturday the 21st, We will meet at Pleasure Island at 12:00 to discuss the tournament February 11th. We will need to establish who has any sponsors (come up with some ideas for sponsorship), who will help, what food will be there, and what each person can do, etc.. This will be the first of 2 meetings - we will have one more right before the tourney.

After that, around 1:00 we will do a flip doubles ($2 a person). Come on out and see how the new course plays. Bring your skeeter spray and your windy-day discs.

Call everyone who plays but doesn't get on the net and let them know about this! Come help us out and make the GT look good for the 11th!

If it rains, we will still meet under the wooden pavillion.

I won't be able to make the meeting. I have to go to PA (the state not the city) this weekend. I can guarantee at least 2 sponsors maybe 3, Im still working on it. I hope the meeting goes well. Call me on my cell and let me know whats going on or if there are any questions that I may be able to answer.

Meeting was ok. We had 6 people show up. We decided pizza is going to be the lunch. It will be offered for $2 for 3 slices and will be ordered right after the sign up deadline - 9:00am - and delivered - Dustin is in charge of food. We will pay for the players pizza if the financial sponsorship is over what we are planning. I'm working getting a vinyl banner for the tourney to place on the pavillion. Rufus said he could get 2 cases of water and 2 cases of energy drinks we will give to the players ( at the pavillion only - we will not set up coolers on the course). Russell said he would be in charge of ice. We are planning on $300 from sponsors and that will make up 1 CTP for each division (six divisions) for 2 rounds of $25. We may increase the CTP if sponsorship is good and gift cards will probably be a part of the CTPs. All money from sponsors will go to the tourney. We will put any signs our sponsors provide up in the pavillion and will announce their names. If anyone needs a form letter for a sponsor, let me know, I have some. We are still looking for any help for sponsorship - we will take cash, gift card, coupons, etc. to give away ! I will be hitting up the local Academy (PA - if anybody wants to hit up Bmt) and several other local restaurants. Also this year we will be writing letters to thank our sponsors ( and maybe offer picture of the pavillion with their signs on it).
The club will be spray painting and marking any necessary OB lines - other OBs will only be unplayable lies. I'm also working on seeing how much a Port-o-potty will cost to rent and I will get the county to spray for mosquitoes.
Also, if you aren't playing or know someone who can help, we could use some volunteers to help spot where disc went in the marsh. There is a new rule in the PDGA that if you loose a disc you must play from your last shot, NOT where you last saw the disc.
I also have to put a few tee signs up and put the concrete cylinders back in the ground for the tee boxes. I will do this next weekend if anyone wants to help me.

If it is not raining, I will be at the island Saturday 1/28 about 12:30-1:00 to put in the concrete cylinders for the tee boxes and concrete in the sign. If anyone wants to help and play a round, come on out ! 8)
