Victoria Open

Well the Victoria Open is now finished. It was very cold & crappy weather to say the least.The high temps hovered around 39 degrees both days & there was off & on drizzle. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, though. I played Advanced since it is my home course & got a chance to shoot w/ alot of golfers I've never played against before. All were very cool. Wish somw of you were able to attend but maybe next year. I do have a house w/extra room to stay. Yall take it easy, I'll probably be down in the next few weeks. Kevin

damn!!!! 20 up for 3 rounds? must have been brutal. I know it was cold and wet but did you have 40+ mile an hour winds? I wish I could have played. I'm sittin here in Denver workin at a nursing home wishing i was chunking a disc. Maybe if I can get done early, I can find time for a round or two. give me a call when you figure out when your coming in.

Yeah. I took 9 ob strokes & lost two discs in three rounds of 21. I was tied for 4th after the first 2 rounds at +9. My day two +11 moved me down quite a bit. The winner in adv. was eleven strokes off last years winner at +11. That will tell you something about the conditions. Kinda sucks that I usually shoot between even and +4 on the long pins, but couldn't execute very well when it counted. Still, a very cool experience playing with those guys in ma1.

Kev, you are good enough to compete with those guys on any course. You have the throws needed to hang with them. As soon as I get a little more consistant with my putting, Im movin up even if my rating isnt adv yet. I hope to get to play some elevation courses if i get finished with enough time. Id also like to go snowboarding. I may have to flip a coin if it comes down to it.
