Someone make sure and tell David Vance about this, he likes those courses. These guys put on one hell of a tournament. I would recomend anyone who hasn't been to one in Lafayette to go.
They have CTP's out the ass and the tournament payout is extremely fair. Lafayette is only a 2 hour drive from nederland. When we go to the tournaments there even for the two day ones, we just drive back and forth. It's like driving to moffit in houston to play an event except maybe a few minutes longer.
The courses themselves will challenge your game. They are set in really wooded areas with quite a bit of elevation change in areas if you would believe that. In the past they have traveled to tournaments we have had there at Pleasure Island, some of you should make the short drive over and play in this.
I really wanna play this one....
Guess its up to the gate keeper now since its memorial weekend

Well, it is two fairly short courses(one very short) in the same park. They also have Paul Davis park which is their longer course and is just around the corner. Could also hit up the 9 hole campus course for some wide open aceruns to finish out the day. Thats probably a little much for my crippled leg but I think I could manage...lol
BTW Wes, email me your company logo at focus409@hotmail.com whenever you get a chance so Ill have it here ready to go when needed. (one color logo, highest quality possible through email)

I'd like a chance to play Acadiana Park, been wanting to for some time now. I'd love to go if I could catch a ride with someone, and I'd be glad to chip in for gas or pay for someone's lunch or whatever. Maybe Bobo or Wes would be willing to put up with me... DG would probably let me ride in his trunk right about now :D
Hey strum, my trunk is full of trash right now, so theres no room for you. I have a comfy hood you can ride on though, theres just no seatbelt.

I got bungie ties around here somewhere, but I haven't cut my hair yet so there's no telling how much I'd increase the drag coefficient on the car, you'd probably be getting like 17 miles a gallon. It'd make a statement pulling up like that to the park though, for sure.

Glad to see the interest in the courses guys, sorry I won't be in town. I will be in Baton Rouge playing the May Madness tournament at Highland 50 miles to the east.
The gold tee's are not clearly marked right now and some trimming is needed, we are going to get to that next week. try to find a local to help out if you need.
PA davis is close to Acadiana Park and Girard Park aka "kiddie park" is not far away either (9 holes) tough to play safely on the weekend (too many Pedestrians). It is right next to UL campus and some are VERY distracting!!
Play with a soft putter and practice your APPROACH
FYI : Acadiana Park does have nice a campground in the back.

I LOVE the Laffayette Courses! I have had my best rounds in tourney play there, Everytime i go. And if i can, just imagine what you can do there. LOL.... CTP's are always great and plentiful. PA davis was almost brand new when we played it last, It will take your A game to get around on it but really fun. Ace Run is in my top 3 alltime favorite courses!
It could even bring me out of semi retirement to play ( definition of semi retirement- Waiting one more year till i can compete in the master divisions) ahhahahaha.. Letting my shoulder and ankles heal up and drop some wieght... then look out!

Also , if you haven't played Ace run recently some of the holes have changed.
Open , Pro masters and Adv will be playing Gold tees on both courses. Ace run only has 11 gold tees. Duzee has 18.
All Ams, Am masters, Am women, novices and Jr will play orange
I will be at the park Saturday morning helping to get it ready, and practicing.
