Snakes Galore!!!!!

Well it was a great morning to get out to tyrrell park and enjoy a round of DG..,,althought there are quite a few SNAKES out around the bottoms of trees and in the brush...but the course is in great shape i think :twisted: although that didnt help my score any...LOL...just be careful and DONT get SNAKE BIT.........May Your Disc Fly Long And Straight...

Thanks for the warning.

I get an hour off for lunch (12-1) and sometimes play a quick round at Tyrrell during that time. Anyone out there want to join me for a fast game, say Thursday or Friday?

I emailed the guy up at the parks dept in bmt and he sent me back this as a reply.

Tommy,

Thank you for the email concerning snakes in Tyrrell Park. We have the
removal of dead trees as a maintenance priority at the park. However, it
has been so wet that we haven't been able to remove them as quickly as we
hoped. It seems that every time it dries out enough to get a truck in, it
starts raining again. We will make every effort to remove them, as soon as
possible.

Sorry your friend had an experience with a snake. I am deathly afraid of
snakes, so that would have definitely ended my day. Until we are able to
complete the removal of the dead trees, I ask that you and all other
patrons be extreme careful around all such debris in the park.

Once again, thank you for your interest in making the park a safer place
for the citizens of our community. Enjoy your golfing.

Looks like all we need is for the park to dry out a bit and they are going to remove the trees. Just be careful playing out there around the fallen trees for now.

Would love to play a round of DG with ya....but unfortunately i cant make it to the park in an hour and back in time...even though i work right off college street..but i am planning on going to pay saturday morning....your more than welcome to come on out if you like....i will probably 2 or 3 rounds at tyrrell.... :twisted: .......MAY YOUR DISC FLY LONG AND STRAIGHT......

Some people from the city parks dept. were supposed to be out today clearing some of the trees at tyrrell. Hopefully they got to the one at hole 4.
