Jacob and I played 3 rounds at Klein Yesterday. Holes 4,5, and 13 kill me. Has anyone ever even gotten a birdie on these?

(I'm leaving now to play Tyrrell on my lunch break)

Scotty birdied number 5 with roller and 75 foot putt.

Keith birdied number 13 with a 30 foot putt.

Hole 4 has yet to be birdied, but ill do it soon!!! lol

Yeah the 75 foot putt i hit on five was the only birdy i got there. I have parked that hole pin high within 35 ft a few times since but could not hit the putts.

I have seen Keith get #13 withing 60 a few times.

#4 Is rumored to have been birdied in doubles. No one has yet had a confirmed birdy in singles play. I have personally witnessed( and done myself) a few chain or basket bangers for duece but none stayed.

The thing to remember about these holes is that you play for a 3. Trying to hit a duece on any of them will likely just end up gettinng you into trouble.

Similarly long holes in the area like #5 long at PI or #14 long at PI have been birdied also. I have seen Matt birdy both of them but have yet to get one to stick myself.

Number 6,11 and 16 at Tyrrell have all been birdied by numerous people.

I'm overjoyed if I get any of those in 3.
(got #4 once with a lucky roll coming out of the woods on shot 2 and fantastic putt)

so far I'm averageing +9 but have not played PI any yet.

Josh the key to those holes is to play your first shot to the place where your second shot will be the easiest. Just do your best to get yourself a 3 opportunity. There is nothing wrong with having a drop in 4 on any of those holes and there is no reason to risk running past the basket on your third shot.

So I went to Play Klein last night with my dad. (who is surprisingly good for a first timer by the way) it started poorly but I really pulled out my A game and did pretty well. Keep in mind I average about 10 mostly, but shot my best ever last week with +6.

1 - par
2 - +2
3 - +1
4 - +1
5 - +1
6 - par
7 - birdie
8 - par
9 - par
10 -par
11 -par
12 -par
13 - +1
14 -par
15 -par
16 -par
17 -par

so I was +5 going into #18 and I choked bad. I slipped in the mud teeing off and threw my dang disc into the ditch, not 15 feet in front of me. Awful. So I Bogeyed the hole. I'll have to get back and get 5 or lower some other day.

How many times have you played at Klein?

over a dozen. and half that many at Tyrrell. But I like Klein a lot better. More people to run into, more interesting holes.
