There was some standing water on #2 (little pond in front and left of basket), #13 (tight alley shot near the sticks) was unplayable (half of the fairway and the basket were underwater)- This hole will probably have to go - we can expect this much rain every summer and it will only be playable half the time, #14 has water in the middle of the fairway to the cane (not hard to throw over though) you just have to walk to the left first to get to the basket.
Surprisingly the skeets weren't that bad for all of the rain. I only put some spray on my legs and had no probs.
Very little wind, coming from the usual summer direction (headwind/ left to right on hole #1 and 3)

Skeeters weren't bad at all, wind was just right, and I think 14 is cooler with the water hazard. Boy the few pools of standing water sure smelled like a wet camel's ass though...

I think yall are trippin'! That wind was pretty tough in our warmup before the round and continued to be fairly tough for about 1/3 of the league round... it never really died out just became more tolerable and even helpful on some holes on the way back in.

Well, yeah, it was helpful, that's what I'm talkin'bout. When I go to the island to play I try to count on there being wind. When it's still, it's easier to putt, but there's no wind to play your drives off of.

Man... that SUCKED! I like the mosquito clouds at the island better than the scuba golf at klein right now, lol! Play it where it lies was sorta fun and different though.

this is the last round for summer league 3. We will be taking a week or 2 off before starting the next round in the series which will be a 6 week league. 2 rounds at the island, 2at klein from the shorts and 2 from the longs.

Im kinda burnt out and havent been playing much and I really dont like the new design of klein with all the water and mosquitos. And if im gonna run it I would like to have some kind of input about it i.e. when it starts and stops, how many weeks its going to run, if there is not going to be a party at the end I would like to be consulted on that decision other than being TOLD the last week of league that there is not going to be a party and were just going strait into the league 3, like I was last time.

feeling out of touch? sorry. decisions that were needed to be made. what would have been your input to these decisions had you been involved in the discuussion? do you know why thwe party was postponed? do you know why we are going to wait a week, maybe two before the next league starts? The plastic is ordered and we are waiting for it now, kinda sux to have a party with no payout. I was hoping to get more volunteers to help with league, alternating responsibilities of running it, my schedule is too inconsistant to be able to take on the responsibilities of running league, but I am more than willing to fill in and help out. I am sorry you feel the way you do. Anyway, with the amount of rain we have recieved, the old design before the ground was built up would have been totally underwater and the skeets would be the same or worse. once the ground dries up and we can really play the new design, your attitude towards it may change. like I said, sorry you feel the way you do. Call me, I need to talk to you about some things.

Im not saying that my decisions would have been any different. I understand that the party had to be skipped and next league delayed this time, im just saying if i am scheduling around league and making sure that I am there every week, it would be nice to be involved in the discusion instead of just being told about it.
yea, as much rain as we've gotten lately, the old Klein would be wetter, maybe not as sticky to your shoes, but a lot more lakes and ponds on the course
If Tyrrel was still in the ground, it would be a mush pit.
