October 27th&28th 2007 will be the dates. Texas RenFest will be the place. My wedding will be the reason. Come prepared to camp for a weekend or just a night, but there is sure to be some hella fun, with firebreathers, firehandlers, and myriad other attractions, not to mention lots of mead and other various adult beverages. Looking forward to seeing some of your familiar faces. Pencil this one in on your calendars boys, it's going to be a blast.

any of you been to the renfest before? of course you have. but how many of you have seen the "Christophe the Insulter" show before? likely one or two... but for those who haven't, this guy is quick-witted and has a razor tongue. His gimmick is to get paid to insult your friends&family. the more you pay him, the longer and worse it is. ten bucks will get everyone a little chuckle, and for a hundred; your friends will no longer be your friends. *snicker* ok then, the show is patently adult, and he has a long practiced disclaimer that he does, with audience participation and such, he can get pretty raunchy.

ok then, so we camped for the weekend... did renfesty things. we saw christophe at a large outdoor bar/grill thing... i thought to myself "hrmmm.. that would be the most original thing i can think of.." especially since i've just decided the night before to do this. after looooong deliberation of course... so after his show, i went up and talked to him for a quick second, couldn't take long... the g/f was finishing her food and would be behind me quickly. so i told him my plan, he said he had a show at another well lit, inside tavern. "prince of wales tavern" some of you might know it... i told him to get busy coming up with the best of his worst for this, as it was appearantly a first for him too... so when the time came, i gave him 50, and got 150 worth of insult out of him.... and at the end he alluded to the idea that perhaps kathy was so terrible that there'd be only one sad sorry sack of.... well you get the idea, who would ever want to marry her, and then quickly implicated me. so i took my knee, produced the ring i'd bought from the goldsmith, (with emerald of course, she hates diamond... is that a "lucky me" or what?). and of course, she says yes, otherwise this post wouldn't be here. and there you have it. I made her want to kick me in the balls, and then i made her want to do other things with them. Outstanding combination in my book. Plus, it was hillarious, and i got a dozen free beers from people in the tavern. WOOT!

"lucky me" ? Emerald is the most valuable gemstone in the world you nitwit! Emeralds are very delicate too, in case you didn't know. I tell you this so every time you see her wildly gesturing or flailing her hands about for whatever reason, you'll grit your teeth in fear. Very soft as far as gemstones go, prone to crumbling...

wear what you like will, i'll apreciate seeing you in the circle as i blow thirty (practicing for this one still) thirty foot fireballs. :) just don't make the same mistake as one poor fellow at the first christophe show..... he showed up in a stormtrooper costume!!! trust me, he caught mega hell.

oh yeah, and i'm already making preperations (of sorts). i finished up some lighting work at a privately owned liquor store. the guy needed the hookup, so i hooked him up. so now when the time comes, i'll have a keg of guiness ready. woot!
