Austin and Dallas courses

hey guys, im probably going to drive through austin and dallas to play DG the weekend of Waco Charity


if you've played any courses in these towns, let me know which ones and if you like them

I wanna hit the best 5 or 6 in each town

Play lake lewisville park it's challenging & fun. :)

Yup the Lake is awesome, also go ahead and hit LL Woods while in Lewisville. Jimmy Porter, BB Owens and Veterans are very good also. Have not had the chance to play Greenbelt but here it is pretty good. Oh yeah Z-boaz I hear is a must, I have not been in Dallas since it was transformed so never played it.

Circle C Ranch in Austin is awesome off of Slaughter (which is off of 35 S) and MJ Searite (sp?) is on Slaughter also (much closer to 35S). I think they were designed by Houck. There is at least 6 courses in or near Austin. The one at Old Settler's Park in Round Rock (just outside of Austin) is great. I think they hold the national doubles there. I've played it a couple of times (right after Nam)and it is super-long and difficult. There is one hole that is over 1000ft (but wide open). I hope some of that made sense, if not, PM me and i'll try to give more info.- it has been a while since i have played in Austin and when you visit Austin you usually don't recall too much!!!!!!!! :mrgreen:
