Can someone post information/pictures of what Poison Ivy, Poison Oak and Poison Sumak look like. You are likely to encounter some when you miss your shot and throw into the stuff.

Poison Ivy and Oak both look the same pretty much, and both can look many different ways. Generally they have teardrop shaped leaves, and the leaves can be lobed, but they are NEVER toothed/serrated along the edges. A lot of people point out types of creeping ivy as poison oak or ivy because it gets the reddish tint around the veins, but the serrated leaves are a tell tale sign that it's safe.

Sumac grows as a small tree, and it's very rare. It only grows in wetlands.

Hopefully this helps, I have a better one at the office. I will post it later. As they say "LEAVES OF THREE, LET IT BE!"

The Ivy & Oak will have a woody vine. If it has three leaf groupings & a woody vine, best to be carefull. I wear the sweet knee high socks for that reason...plus, I think fuzzy likes em.:???:

I can't wear the knee highs, my calves stretch them out and they fall down and look like the 80's style socks that girls wore for jazzercise and shit. So I'm screwed.

if you take a bath after exposure, it lessens or forgives the attack...

i have had poison ivy from head to toe when i was like 12...i hated the oatmeal baths. truthfully, a bath afterwards never hurts and it washes off the stuff you get into.

If you can rinse off with a soap/detergent of some sort within two hours of exposure you are usually alright. I'm always too lazy to shower right when I get home. It's annoying but JESUS it feels good to scratch that crap raw.

Obviously, you're not allergic Jeff. I used to be one of those people, too. A non-allergy to these plants is not necessarily a lifelong gift. Peace be with you Jeff...:-D HAHAHAHAHA

I get it if it gets on an open wound but otherwise its minimal. Occasionally if I have really been frolicking in it I'll get a bad spot. My socks are knee highs and the deet may counter it some, I don't know.
