Does anyone have a small instructional video in windows media or flash format?
Tommy can i get a logo or ad poster from you in 285 x 85. 120 x 50. 285 x 120. 605 x 85. 150 x 50.
I want to make a video of klein, pleasure island, and the new clarborne. I want some disc golfers wearing our club shirts playin and i want a video shot.
Southeasttexas.com has streaming video technology. I want to build some links to this page from the events section of southeasttexas.com. Then utilize the streaming video of an instructional video, and then vids from local parks and promoting the sport and our parks and our club.
I think this could boost our exposure. I want to pump up their events page with GTDiscgolf.com and the GT club. Wednesday leagues, meetings, etc.. and direct link to this site.

I do not have a camera. We need to do this. I can make it happen if we get the media together. Even if we can find an instructional somewhere and/or an "about disc golf" movie.

Scotty brought up the idea of doing a demonstration out at Claiborne some weekend coming up. I've thought for months now that we need to start doing this sort of thing to promote the sport in the area. Sort of how PGA course pros put on clinics and such for people trying to learn golf.

does anyone want to be in charge of planning and running a demonstration/clinic at claibourne park? I will volunteer and work with you but with my schedule I can't take on anymore responsibilities. We will also need some to be in charge of filming and editing that footage. I have a digital recorder and can film while helping run the clinic, we can use several cameras and tripods and such to get the footage. I have a slinky like tripod that can be wrapped and attached to things. I want to put it on the backside of a basket looking through the chains and have everyone run for aces until we get some on film.
Anyway, volunteers are needed to run these 2 projects, the filming will need to include the other courses also. If you have a camera, film while you play. Since I'm not in league this series, I will try and film the last 2 rounds and we can get the league party on film also. I think at this league party, we should put one of tparks homemades up for a $5 raffle. or start putting it out at about 160' and do $5 ace runs at it until someone hits it.

I'll be glad to run a demo one weekend. I'm told though that my throwing style is, for lack of a better term, awkward. If I could get some help, my first choices would be Scotty and Russel. Scotty I know can teach, and Russel has a very smooth and easy to follow form that would be perfect for mimicking, plus his background as a coach makes him well suited to it.

I'm also very good with a camera.

I don't understand what the big hurry to get rid of the Tyrrell Park baskets is. I think we ought to keep them as replacements for Klein's baskets in case of damage or theft.

Im not in league either so if there is an extra camera I can do it. Ive done plenty of skate vids and own a VHS-c camera, so i can get some good footage i am sure.

The homemade baskets we will be doing things with to raise money, the 3 or 4 (I cant remember now) strokesavers will be saved and refinished to replace at klien. Maybe we ought to do another ace pot kinda thing except we could use the basket as the reward. each league, designate a hole that will be the ace hole and everyone can pay a buck to win a basket.Mulligan shots would not count-one shot at ace per round. It could raise some money and keep the basket in the communtiy.I think we have 7 of the homemade baskets. These homemade baskets were made from "scrap" metal. each chain hanger in the top is individual metal rods and there are no chain sliders. the baskets also are individual supports.

back to the video, we could do 2. an instructional and then a club promotional......anyone got any editing skills?
